Conclusion As a result, learning at a young age will increase student’s chances of future success because learning math and reading skills at a young age will help people make more money later in life, will support people in getting great jobs, and they will have better housing. DIRECTIONS FOR YOUR ASSIGNMENT: Read the article, Stalking the Stars. Argue the following question--Should there be stricter laws for paparazzi? Choose a claim/position then complete the argument pillar, find one reason and explain using 3 examples of evidence from the text! Use this model and what you have learned about argument writing to help! Finished? Complete the exit slip then move on to the MLK extension or work on Graphic Organizers from yesterday!

Editing and Revising/Review • Once completed with your rough draft you must edit your work • Grab a check list and editing pen and begin editing • Be sure to follow ALL STEPS • If you do not have one of the steps, YOU MUST ADD IT TO YOUR PAPER! • There must be corrections on your rough draft, there are NO PERFECT FIRST DRAFTS!! • Be sure you have completed the entire check list and given proof of edits • Finished? Trade your paper with a peer and sit together to peer edit/revise your writing • Use the check list to guide you, discuss ways to improve your essay. Finished?
