  2. Background • Technology Transfer is increasingly viewed as a profession • Professions require certain things: • A body of knowledge • A professional body • A recognised path for career profession

Supported by members summer 2008: PraxisUnico, AUTM and ASTP carried out research amongst our members - Wide-ranging support for development of professional recognition mechanisms - Greatest support amongst the younger/newer members of Tech Transfer - Strong view that development of the profession is happening and that we must take a leadership role. - Strong view that development of the profession must be led by practitioners

  6. History 2008, MoU by ASTP, ATMT, AUTM, KCA, PraxisUnico  working group with first call on 16th December May 2010 launch of ATTP with 5 founding associations: board of directors, executive cie & on line administration Number of current applications: 61 ! with 31 people being approved (‘RTTP’)

  8. Training and Qualifications Career technology transfer members will be provided with valuable training and submit a final case study to be considered Experienced industry professionals will produce a comprehensive case study demonstrating their experience and qualifications

  9. Demonstrated competence 60 CE points relevanteducation substantial track record Peer reviewed 360⁰ Case Study, outlining a project or deal, demonstrating your competence Application Peer review RTTP

Benefits of registration Registration: • Confirms individual professional’s credibility within the profession as assessed by expert practitioners • Provides international recognition as a technology transfer expert • Unites professionals on a global basis within a recognised and agreed framework If YOU want to be recognised as a Tech Transfer professional, you want to apply for registration with ATTP

Application process Online Available to all members of the founding associations Applications considered by an international panel of practitioners. $250 administration charge No annual fees, but there will be an administration charge associated with confirmation of registration every 3 to 5 years
