  2. What is theme? • Theme – the topic or subject of the story The theme I selected was… “The Crazy things You’d Do For Love” since Romeo did a lot of CRAZY THINGS that did to be together and show how much they LOVE each other

  3. Example 1 • The Friar secretly married Romeo and Juliet Why: They got married even though their families are enemies, Romeo was a Montague and Juliet was a Capulet

  4. Example 2 • They did the Friar’s plan EVEN though it backfired in the end Why: They did the plan all because Juliet didn’t want to marry Paris and the whole purpose of the plan was when she woke up after taking the potion she’d leave with Romeo to be with him

  5. Example 3 • When Romeo dranked the poison and killed himself, Juliet used Romeo’s dagger to stab and killed herself just to be with him
