  1. ELITE OVERVIEW The Elite academy program is designed for Advanced High Performance players from ages 14 to 18 years old. This High School age junior is already competing at the Southern, as well as High State level. Ranking requirements are Top 50 in the South for 14’s & 16’s. Access is also granted through our “Tween” development group program for the top kids in the group below. Typically, this player is both a Top State player, as well as a player on the High School team, so this group meets later to allow the players to train all school year, even during the High School tennis season. The format is largely live-ball with an emphasis on consistency, serve & returns, specialty shots and fitness. A lot of emphasis is spent on doubles as well as transition / net play to keep our top players adept at the net. We also add regular intervals of fitness to keep the group sharp and in shape, before, during and after the High School tennis season. Within Elite, there are many players who aspire to play tennis at the college level. We offer assistance with college recruiting for those tournament players who are serious about their future game development. We also frequently have college coaches visiting the complex as well to check out various players in the group up close and personal. Elite is for the serious junior who has the game to compete with the best in the academy and training to compete with the best in the South, and in the country. This program is offered at Windward Lake Club at this time only.
