  2. Changes in the Information System • Since 10 December 2003, uniform criteria to communicate the information on the eradication programs to the EC • Since 2004, data on OBF and not OBF regions has been provided separately

  8. Comments • The increased percent positive flocks from 2004 to 2005 is partly due to the change in the Information system • The increase from 2005 to 2006 is real trend because no further changes occurred in the IS

  11. Why a clear decrease every year since 2003? • Sardinia island and an increasing number of Provinces of Tuscany and Latium became OBF since 2003 • The regions declared decreasing numbers of animals under control according to the decreased frequency of controls required by the legislation

  14. Comments • The decrease in the percent positive animals is in contrast to the increase in percent positive flocks
