  27. Be a part of the Golden Knights Band!! 6th grade • Regardless of your past musical experiences, Band is the place for you!If you have never played before, your adventure is about to begin! We will help you identify an instrument on which you can achieve success.  We will also teach you all the basics of tone production, as well as note identification and rhythm counting so you will be a good music reader. • If you have played/do play an instrument, remember: the longer you are in Band, the more opportunities become available to you – 6th Grade All Star Band, Pep Band, Mid State Band, preparation for High School Band, etc. • Important things to remember: • BAND IS A CLASS. It meets during school daily. • BAND does not conflict with sports or clubs. You can be involved in Band and all sports and clubs. • Cost doesn’t have to be a concern. We have a limited number of school instruments, if that is helpful. • NOW is the time to do it - there is NO introductory class in 7th grade.
