  1. I was starting to teach Kindergarten students how to use our school's computers and realized they didn't know how to operate the mouse/touch-pad. I created a series of lessons using Power Point and popular stories to teach them how to click on objects. Students will use the power point to work on their fine motor skills by using a mouse or touch-pad. Students will learn how to click on objects to progress through the power point.Students will listen to the story being read to them (via audio that is embedded into the power point) and then select the picture that best represents the word that is in an alternate color.

  2. If you give a mouse a cookie By Laura Numeroff

  3. If you give a mouse a cookie, he is going to ask for a glass of milk.

  4. When you give him the milk, he will probably ask you for a straw.

  5. When he’s finished, he’ll ask for a napkin.

  6. Then he will want to look in the mirror to make sure he doesn’t have a milk mustache.

  7. When he looks into the mirror, he might notice his hair needs a trim. So he will probably ask you for a pair of nail scissors.

  8. When he’s finished giving himself a trim, he’ll want a broom to sweep up.

  9. He’ll start sweeping. He might get carried away and sweep every room in the house! He may even end up washing the floors as well.

  10. When he’s done, he will probably want to take a nap. You will have to fix up a little box for him with a blanket and a pillow.

  11. He’ll crawl in, make himself comfortable and fluff the pillow a few times. He’ll probably ask you to read him a story.

  12. So you’ll read to him from one of your books, and he’ll ask to see the pictures. When he looks at the pictures, he’ll get so excited, he’ll want to draw one of his own.

  13. He’ll ask for paper and crayons.

  14. He’ll draw a picture. When the picture is finished, he’ll want to sign his name with a pen.

  15. And then, he’ll want to hang his picture on your refrigerator. Which means, he’ll need scotch tape.

  16. He’ll hang up his drawing, and stand back to look at it. Looking at the refrigerator will remind him, that he’s thirsty. So he’ll ask for a glass of milk.

  17. Chances are, if he asks for a glass of milk, he’ll want a cookie to go with it.

  18. The end.
