  2. Membership: • Belonging to or being a part of a society, party, community, or other body. • Member: • a part or organ of a body; a limb, as a leg, arm, or wing.

  3. Type of Club • Drives membership goals • Corporate • Community

  4. Outside the Club Meeting • Per your Club Success Plan or Executive Committee, plan ongoing membership-building programs and efforts • Promote the goal of one new member per month • Promote achieving 20 members by year-end or sooner, if the club has fewer than 20 members 2

  5. Outside the Club Meeting • Conduct a minimum of two formal club membership programs annually • Promote club and TMI membership-building programs and

  6. Outside the Club Meeting • Follow up with guests • Check in on new members • Track member attendance for club attendance requirements • Send reminders

  7. Outside the Club Meeting • Bring membership applications to the club for voting • If the members are accepted, collect dues and fees and give them to the treasurer with the applications • Maintain club membership roster on TMI • Pay TMI dues by deadlines 3

  8. At the Club Meeting • Greet guests and have each complete the Guest Information Card (Item 231). • Have ready promo material, TM Magazines • Report on current membership, promote membership campaigns, and welcome new members. • Coordinate new member induction 4

  9. Your Leadership Opportunity • Organize & run committees – ask for volunteers! • With your Exec Committee, set realistic and attainable goals • Plan how to accomplish the goals • Delegate, monitor and Coach! 5
