  1. Buying a home is the most important purchase you will ever make.

  2. If you are in the market for a new home, you may realize house hunting can be a daunting task.

  3. There are several factors to consider when attempting to find your dream home. Staying focused and organized will help make your search a lot easier.

  4. It’s important to not fall in love with a home solely based on its aesthetic appeal. Here are some things you should consider before signing on the dotted line.

  5. SET PRIORITIES AND STAY ORGANIZED

  6. Setting priorities before looking at homes should be at the top of your list. If you are purchasing a home with your spouse, make sure you are both on the same page.

  7. Make a list of your "must haves" or requirements that you can’t live without. Be realistic and start with a list of the top three or five.

  8. On average when house hunting, people view 3-5 homes before making a selection. Creating a comparison chart can be very helpful.

  9. It’s a great way to keep track of each home you want to consider and document their features.
