  2. The setting is Bixby, Oklahoma right outside Tulsa. Bixby is in the country. Tex and His brother Mason live in a small house with a barn in the back with a woodsy area behind the barn. They live in a more secluded place. Setting

  3. Tex McCormick-He loves horses. S.E. Hinton does not describe what Tex looks like in the movie he has brown hair and brown eyes. He is described as a free sprit, hard-headed, and charming. Mason McCormick-He likes to fish. It does not describe what he looks like in the movie he has brown eyes and brown hair he is 3 years older than Tex which is 17.He is described as sarcastic, bossy, and private. Jamie Collins-She changes best friends every month. She has dark blue eyes all the Collins kids color and brown hair. Tex describes her as Thoughtful, beautiful, and Johnny describes her as annoying. Johnny Collins-He is Tex’s best friend also Jamie’s brother. He has freckles and his hair is “flame-headed as a match stick and dark blue eyes.” He is described as funny and daring or dangerous.   4. Tex and Mason don’t have enough money because they both don’t have jobs, and there dad is always on the road and barley send them money. Tex gets shot when Him and Lem go sell crack to a guy named Kelly. Kelly shots Tex, and Lem leaves him on the side of the road. Mason has an ulcer so he can’t play basketball very good. Tex doesn’t want Mason to go to collage then he would have to take care of himself,but Mason really wants to leave. Conflict

  5. Tex gets a job at Mr.Kencaide from Taming The Star Runner. Mason becomes nicer. Mason get accepted to Indiana University on a basketball scholar ship. Pop quits the rodeo and gets a job and now stays at home. Resolution

  6. I thought it was so awesome which is what I say about all the S.E. Hinton books. Tex was super good. It was my third favorite book next to The Outsiders, RumbleFish. I like how he never stops trying to get Negrito back. I thought it was really sad that Tex wasn’t really Pop’s son that’s why he favored Mason. I like how the end Mason gets nice and goes fishing with Tex. MyOpinion

Tex and Johnny get mad at each other. Tex jumps a cliff with Johnny motorcycle Johnny and Tex make up. Pop comes home. Tex, Mace, and Pop try to get Negrito back they don’t. Tex hides a letter from a university. Tex and Johnny get suspended. Mace tells Tex Pop is not his real dad. Tex gets mad and goes with Lem to sell Crack. The customer gets mad and shoots Tex. Lem leaves him on the side of the road. Tex goes to the Hospital. Tex's write for Mace for the university. Mace gets Accepted. Him and Mace go fishing.
