  3. Summary of the Book The book American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang is told through 3 different perspectives. Jin Wang, The Monkey King and Chin Kee. Throughout the book I noticed the Jin Wang is Danny and Chin Kee is The Monkey King. Also that Wei Chen Sun, Jin Wang's bestfriend is The Monkey Kings son. Wei Chen Sun decided to stay on earth because he thought that it was better to look out for Jun Wang.

  4. Passage of Interest The passage that interested me the most was when the monkey king encountered the character that represents god. The monkey king tries to fight him but can’t and he doesn't believe he is god. God then punishes him and puts him under a huge pile of rocks.

  5. Recommendation I recommend this book to anyone who wants a good read. It is a great book and an easy one too.
