  3. Assessment • Involves a range of task types • Assessment of knowledge, concepts, skills and attitudes • Criterion based with reference to specific strands

  6. Formative • Formative assessment and teaching are DIRECTLY linked. • Quiz, PowerPoint, discussion, small piece of writing etc. • Should be given during the unit, before the summative assessment. • Some formative assessments are not graded, they include specific comments for the student.

  7. Summative • To be given at the end of a Unit. • Is used to assess student understanding and progress. • Marked against the MYP criteria.
