Spanish World Institute is • A language school that provides overseas students with Spanish language training regardless of their linguistic level. • an academic institution where students’ exchange and interaction will be the main tools to learn the new language and get a taste of the rich and diverse Colombian culture.

OurObjectives • To provide high quality programmes in order to offer an optimum preparation for people interested in learning Spanish as a second language. • To facilitate a greater understanding among people of diverse cultural backgrounds and reveal the richness of South American culture, especially the Colombian one. • To support continuous professional development of our teaching and administrative staff. • To contribute to the Colombian community and maintain a strong “social conscience” by providing students with the opportunity to take up voluntary jobs in several areas.

Why choose SWI? • When you take a Spanish course with us, we ensure that your learning process will be in a dynamic, professional and especially friendly way. • Our courses are personalized, dynamic and designed according to the students’ linguistic needs. • We use the latest academic tools and follow the values of Instituto Cervantes (certification expected at the end of 2011). • We offer 4 levels of teaching: beginners, elementary, intermediate and advanced. • We support students in volunteer work. • We provide lodging with Colombian families or in shared flats with locals as well as in small hotels and bed and breakfast, offering further opportunity to practice Spanish in a friendly environment. • We count with a small library where students can take literature back to where they stay. SWI also provides books and videos about Colombia and Latin America with the most recent information. • We provide students with a phone number they can call around-the-clock in case of emergency. • We have a storage room where students can leave their luggage safely when they go travelling. • We organize activities and excursionsevery week.

  5. OurLocation • Our School islocated in Chapinero Alto, a beautiful residential part of Bogotá. (Subsidiary in Medellin is planned). • SWI is located  in a Colonial house specially refurbished to provide a suitable academic environment. • SWI is very near to tourist, cultural and business areas. • The School is close to home stay accommodation, recreation facilities and numerous shops and restaurants. • The School is also easily accessible by buses from any part of the city.
