  1. Signature Assignment Daniel Malan

  2. Abortion • Abortion is a social issue that has plagued us ever since 1973, when Roe v. Wade came into our lives. It was probably one of the most saddening and followed Supreme Court cases ever. This social issue has murdered more than 42 MILLION babies PER YEAR!

  3. Why do Sociologists study this issue? • Sociologists study this issue because it is one that affects all of us. Abortion is one of the many things that I will look into when I vote for candidates from Mayor to President once I can vote. I know many other people that would never even think about voting for someone if they supported it, and same with me.

  4. Minnesota abortions at record low, but Planned Parenthood abortions upBy: Peter Smith • The number of babies that have been killed via abortion has declined very much in Minnesota, and yet Planned Parenthood’s business is booming. Tim Pawlenty, the Governor of Minnesota, and also a candidate for the GOP presidential nomination, has helped to shrink abortion 7% since last year. But with every action comes an equal and opposite reaction. Planned Parenthood performed MORE abortions in 2010 than in 2009. It is just sad how people are making a business out of this!

  5. Abortion Has Killed Millions More Than WarBy: Russ Young • What this article states is that Roe v. Wade was a tragedy. Not only have millions of babies been butchered because of this case, but also millions of families that cannot have children are denied the opportunity to adopt one of those children. The article also says that the case was based on FRAUDULENT FACTS! How terrible is that?

  6. Reflection • Studying this Social Issue has not impacted my career choice. I am going into Aeronautical Engineering, and I don’t think that Abortion is an everyday occurrence in that career. But, it has affected my everyday life. I am going to do everything in my power to fight this evil. • By learning about current social trends it makes you more aware of the world around you, and so this has helped me apply this to my schooling and to the different classes that I may take.
