  5. What should I pack? • Comfortable, casual clothes – one outfit for each day. (It will be super hot and humid) • A wind/waterproof jacket • Comfy walking shoes • A nicer outfit to wear to the performance at Kennedy Center • PJ’s • Watch • Bathing suit • Sunscreen • Hat (for sun protection) • Sunglasses • Small backpack • Water bottle • Travel-sized toiletries • Camera and batteries or charger • Cell phone and charger • Picture ID

  6. Dress Code • If you would feel embarrassed to wear it in front of grandma or Mr. Ciecek then don’t pack it! • No clothing with political messages. Yes, you have 1st amendment rights, but this is a safety issue!

  7. Why should I pack light? • Avoid the hassle (and fees!) of checking a bag • You will need to haul your stuff around • You might want room to pack souvenirs you buy on the trip

  8. Packing Tips • Put student’s full name on all personal items. • Use large Ziploc bags to hold shampoos and other toiletries that could leak. Extra Ziplocs should be packed as well; these will be handy for wet bathing suits and other wet or dirty clothes. • Students must carry a picture ID (OCSA school ID will work) which matches the name on his/her airline ticket.

  9. Kennedy Center • Set in present-day Georgetown, Shear Madness engages locals and visitors alike as armchair detectives to help solve the scissor-stabbing murder of a famed concert pianist who lives above the Shear Madness unisex hairstyling salon. The show combines up-to-the-minute improvisational humor and a mixture of audience sleuthing to deliver a unique performance each night.
