ITTF Development Program • Began1999-pilot project in Oceania • Expanded to other continents 2001 • Funding formula based on member countries and needs. • 4 year Agreements of Understanding based on a menu of possible activities. • Currently more than 100 courses and equipment assistance to 30 countries annually as well as multiple “goodwill” projects.

  11. 7 STEPS FOR EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATIONITTF – National Association (NA) AFRICA-ASIA-LATIN AMERICA A) BEFORE the Course: • ITTF sends offer (allocation of activity/equipment package on rotation and needs basis) • National Association confirms, providing 3 dates, preferred language, address for Manuals (if Coach Education) • ITTF nominates expert, sends Manuals (if CE); NA assures to meet the requirements (equipment, facilities etc.), acknowledges reception of Manuals and assists the Expert in visa arrangements etc. B) DURING the Course: • NA arranges meetings with NOC, Sport Council, Ministry C) AFTER the Course: • NA completes the ITTF National Association’s Report and sends it to ITTF together with related receipts for reimbursement • NA/Supervisor makes sure that post-course requirements are fulfilled (coaching practise and supervision) and sends the Confidential Coaching Reports to the Expert • Continuous contact for updates, news etc. EUROPE-NORTH AMERICA All correspondence is through the Continental Development Officer (Europe-Ms. Lilamani de Soysa) or Continental President(North America-Mike Cavanaugh)(apart from Olympic Solidarity course, which are coordinated by ITTF).
