Currently in the lab… The Sunyaev-Zel’dovich Array (SZA) • Collaboration with Chicago, OVRO, MSFC • Eight 3.5 m diameter dishes • 30 GHz Receivers (cluster survey) • 90 GHz Receivers (detailed cluster observations) • Broadband 8 GHz correlator • 12 deg2 survey to begin end of 2003 • SZA to be integrated with OVRO and BIMA telescopes (CARMA) Upcoming… Atacama Cosmology Telescope(ACT) • Multi-institution collaboration • 6 m single-dish telescope • Large array of sensitive bolometers • Observing frequencies: 150, 217, 270 GHz. • Located at 17,000 ft. altitude in Atacama desert in Chile • Observe small-scale CMB anisotropy, SZE effect, OV effect, CMB lensing Miller Lab - Columbia Galaxy Cluster SZA ACT
