Consultation • An exchange of opinions: A discussion aimed at ascertaining opinions or reaching an agreement. • Meeting with expert: A meeting with an expert in a particular field to obtain advice. • Reference to source of information: The act of referring to a book or person for information or advice.

  3. To work jointly with others or together especially in an intellectual endeavor To cooperate with an agency or instrument with which one is not immediately connected Collaboration

  5. Disadvantages of Consultation • Opinions are not agreed upon • Information provided by expert may be biased or even though false • Information in book or written resource may be outdated or miss-printed

  6. Advantages of Collaboration Advantages for the Student • Increased individualized attention • Smaller teacher student ratio • Peer motivation • Increases self image and self esteem • Assists in the development of positive peer relationships • They learn to accept differences

  7. Advantages of Collaboration Advantages for the Teachers • Professional and personal growth • Extra motivational support • The ability to combine professional knowledge and skills • Team effort in planning, preparation and instructional delivery
