  6. Our Mission - why we exist - The Emerick Elementary School staff believes that all students should be given opportunities and encouragement to develop the skills necessary to succeed in our changing world. These include basic academics, technology, and appreciation for the arts, a positive attitude and a healthy self-concept. We recognize that every student has different talents and abilities. Together with their families and our community, we seek to provide the instruction, resources and support necessary to meet the individual needs of our students. Our Vision - what we hope to become - So that no child is left behind, we aim to maintain a climate in which all students: *demonstrate competence in academics, technology, fine arts, and life skills that will allow them to succeed to the best of their abilities. *demonstrate pride in self, community, and country. *demonstrate positive and realistic self- concepts. *demonstrate appropriate social skills and considerate behavior.
