Required Components • Incorporate a comprehensive needs assessment. • Identify school-wide reform strategies. • Provide instruction by highly qualified teachers. • Provide high quality, ongoing professional development. • Implement strategies to attract high quality, highly qualified teachers.

Required Components • Implement strategies to increase parental involvement. • Incorporate transition plans. • Include teachers in decisions. • Ensure that students most in need receive effective & timely assistance. • Coordinate and integrate with other federal, state and local programs / services. • Schools in School Improvement, Year 1 and beyond must also include 10 School Improvement Elements in addition to the required components.
