  4. The Rapture The New Hampshire Confession of Faith This Confession was drawn up by the Rev. John Newton Brown, D. D., of New Hampshire about 1833, and was adopted by the New Hampshire Convention, and widely accepted by Baptists, especially in the Northern and Western States, as a clear and concise statement of their faith, in harmony with the doctrines of older confessions, but expressed in milder form. The text is taken from the Baptist Church Manual, published by the American Baptist Publication Society, Philadelphia. It did not have a “rapture” reference. Pre-Trib Rapture added to it sometime in 20th century after Rome infiltrated the Baptist Church on a scale of great magnitude.

I do not know any visitor or new person in our church who believes in a pre-trib rapture. Only preaching missionaries.

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those dayes, shall the Sunne be darkned, and the Moone shall not giue her light, and the starres shall fall from heauen, and the powers of the heauens shall be shaken. 30 And then shall appeare the signe of the Sonne of man in heauen: and then shall all the Tribes of the earth mourne, and they shall see the Sonne of man coming in the clouds of heauen, with power and great glory. 31 And hee shall send his Angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his Elect from the fourewindes, from one end of heauen to the other.

  8. The Rapture Let’s take a look at the earliest known reference to the word rapture which indicates that “it is to be taken up into heaven.” The saints will be caught up, but when and how? We find that the English word rapture (from Jerome’s Latin) is in the Jesuit/Douay Rheims Bible of 1610. Strangely, this word and teaching was removed from the D-R some time after 1610. Prior to the start of the Oxford movement in the 1820’s, Jesuit priests Lacunza and Ribera had been providing documentation fueling this doctrine. Vatican subscribers Darby (word rapture in his bible and many alignments in text to Rome) and Scofield further advanced the teaching to many in the Blayney KJV community. Would ultra-wealthy Rome friendly professing Baptists be part of creating an updated definition of the word “rapture?” Do Jesuits masquerade as Baptists? Comment to JD: “What you are doing, however, is casting doubt on the very KJB which is being used today by those who stand for it,…” Local Pastor: “We use Strong’s lexicon to understand the scriptures.” “Jesus Christ will come again for His Church in what is known as the rapture.   44. The Rapture Lesson in Acts 8: People can hear, receive, and believe on the Word of God. They can even be baptized by bible believers. The holy Ghost comes only to those who do not give laudation to men and who believe in the prophets of God. You must also repent of your sin/unrighteousness.
