  1. Shakespearean Play Project Your play project will give you an opportunity to explore Shakespeare’s work in a way that most appeals to you. You can take use an artistic approach, an analytical examination, a creative writing, or a dramatic approach to the play with which we have been working.

  2. Art Projects • You can do one full-sized poster board that represents either one major event in the play or four major events in the play in separate panels. • You can do an 8 ½ X 11 art work plus another type of written work/skit.

  3. Analytical Writing • You can analyze a specific aspect of the play: symbolism (birds, biblical references, relationships, parents and kids, etc.) • You can analyze the play based on the comic aspects of puns and humorous scenes. • You could analyze the instances of foreshadowing and what events follow that foreshadowing.

  4. Creative Writing • Write an alternate ending for the play (in play format). • Pretend you are a newspaper reporter and do an interview with one of the main characters from the play. • Do a creative short story version of the play in a completely different setting and time period. • Create a fake facebook page for a character from the play. Do the “about” section and add posts from other characters in the play.

  5. Drama • Choose a major scene from the play and act it out with classmates in the original play format and with that dialogue. • Choose a major scene from the play and act it out with classmates using modern day dialogue and (appropriate) slang language.
