Criminal E-Filing - Pilots • Summary • HB 349 from the regular session of the 83rd Texas Legislature requires Hidalgo County to implement criminal e-filing by 9/1/2015 • Technology Standards version 1.4 includes configuration for criminal cases • Criminal to only be applicable on subsequent filings • Pilot in 5 counties • Configuration to be complete in Q4-2014 • Pausing Implementation • Current e-Filing rules only applicable for Texas Rules of Civil Procedure • Includes rules governing: • Weekend filings • Filings outside of business hours • Service delivery • Evaluation of Texas Code of Criminal Procedures to accommodate the use of e-Filing
