Strategies for building diversity in Higher education • Goal 1: To support our institution’s efforts to recruit and retain and increasingly more diverse student population. • Goal 2: To encourage recruitment and retention of a diverse faculty and staff for university positions at all levels. • Goal 3: To continue to increase faculty, staff and student awareness and knowledge of our institution’s diversity philosophy, practices and policies. • Goal 4: To develop and promote programs designed to embrace multi-culturalism among faculty, staff, and students. • Goal 5: To identify and pursue federal, state, and private grants and funds that promote minority participation, development and advancement in teaching, research and general advancement.
