2. Background Kansa was a prince of Mathura and he was a very evil person Devaki was sister of Kansa Devaki married Vasudev

3. Prison The day they were married, a voice from the sky said that Devaki’s 8th child would kill Kansa. Kansa put Devaki and Vasudev in prison. Every time a child was born, Kansa would come into the prison and kill it

4. Krishna the 8th child In this way, 7 children were killed. Krishna was the 8th child of Devaki and Vasudev. Vasudev’s sister was Yashoda.

5. Krishna shows His Narayana form When he was born, Vasudev decided to take him to his sister’s house in Gokul. God made the guards to fall asleep and the chains to open.

6. Krishna goes to Gokul Vasudev carried Krishna in a basket across the river Yamuna. While crossing the Yamuna, a 5-headed snake protected Krishna from the rain.

7. Krishna now in Gokul After reaching Yashoda’s house, Vasu deva exchanged baby krishna with the new-born daughter of Nanda baba. Vasudev took the baby girl back to the prison.

8. Kamsa & Durga When Kansa heard that a baby was born, he came to kill it But the baby girl slipped from his hands and went into the sky. A voice then told Kansa that his killer was already in Gokul.
