  7. Channel Coding & Synchronization WG : Objectives : develop recommended channel coding and frame synchronization schemes to support all type of space links Status : Three blue books available : TM channel coding TC channel coding Proximity links channel coding Program of Work

Low Density Parity Check Codes (LDPCC) BOF : Objectives : develop recommended coding schemes with high power and spectral efficiency, with low decoding complexity and with low residual frame and bit error rates for future high rate telemetry applications Status : requirements matrix and evaluation criteria are being finalized Program of Work

  9. Long Erasure Codes BOF : Objectives: develop recommended coding schemes for the specific case of potentially fading links (e.g. : Ka band links) Status : requirements analysis, survey of potential solutions Program of Work
