  2. Where is the Media?

  3. Video Games • Excessive video game playing removes a person from a true reality. • There are many aspects of video games that promote unhealthy styles of living • Women are portrayed as sex objects whom are subservient to men.

  4. Television • As a non watcher of Television I have noticed the frequency in which people use Television to make anecdotes and examples in their everyday conversation. • Many people get their policital beliefs from the Network News channel that they watch.

  5. Magazine Covers • Many young women are affected by the constand bombardment of magazines in almost all stores. • These magazines sell being sexier and being better at sex. • Media Awareness Network links these Magazines to young women with eating disorders

  6. Conclusion • We need to be careful about the media that we consume • Many universities and Web sites are promoting a new awareness of the media around us.
