Our goals are: Working with long term unemployed/ economically inactive, lone parents, people with a history of substance misuse or offending background to: Improve their options and create new opportunities Enhance their capacity and confidence Help them to achieve sustainable job outcomes and economic independence Help them reach their full potential Goals

6. 1:1 Information, Advice and Guidance Personalised Action Plan Realistic goal setting Job brokerage - working with employers to: increase the pool of appropriate vacancies Develop productive relationships Create opportunities for the unemployed Job club offering effective job search and job matching sessions Workshops Ongoing support WHAT’S RKL ADVISORS OFFER

The initial assessment is used to: Determine the clients stability and motivation level Identify the client’s education, training and employment needs Identify client’s barriers to ETE and to advise on how to overcome them Effectively signpost clients to suitable and appropriate opportunities Complete agreed Action Plans with s.m.a.r.t routes to individual goals ASSESSMENTS

FreshStart Programme • Eligibility • Clients who are economically inactive: on • Incapacity Benefit, Disability Leaving • Allowance or Employment Support Allowance • (not on JSA) • Clients who have recovered or are recovering • from substance misuse • 20+ • Ready and committed to engage in • education/training or/and employment

What’s on offer? • 3 months programme with ongoing 6 month • support • Financial support for travel to RKL • (reimbursed) and limited funding for courses • Advice on ETE opportunities • Support with additional applications for • funding. • Access to RKL workshops and other services • Ungoing support and reviews of • progressions

RKL Workshops • Recognising skills (half day) • Goal setting and confidence building(1 day) • Disclosure for ex-offenders (half day) • Interview techniques (half day) • CV and Application forms (1 day) • CSCS (Construction Safety Certificate • Scheme) workshop and Test • Food and Hygiene certificate level 2

11. And finally………… Many of our clients have had a problem with substance misuse in the past, (especially those on the Fresh Start programme). Making a commitment to stay clean is a massive achievement. ETE advisors offer support to these clients to help them positively move forward with their individual career goals.
