  4. "ALL CIRCUMSTANCES" • Abundance + Comfort = Thanksgiving ? • Intentional Learned Behavior • Colossians 2:7b - "just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving."

  5. WORSHIP • Psalm 147:7 - Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make melody to our God on the lyre! • Psalm 50:14 - Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High

Matthew 26:26-27 - 26 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” 27 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you” • 1 Thessalonians 3:9-10 - 9 For what thanksgiving can we return to God for you, for all the joy that we feel for your sake before our God, 10 as we pray most earnestly night and day that we may see you face to face and supply what is lacking in your faith?

  7. WORLD • Hebrews 12:28 NASB • Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;

"IN" • Thankful "FOR" or "IN" • "IN CHRIST JESUS" • Romans 8:28-29 • 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

  9. Philippians 4:13 • I can do all things through him who strengthens me. • Literally - "I am strong FOR  all things IN the one strengthening me."

  10. Abundance + Comfort does not = Thanksgiving

  11. Christ + Abundant Life = Thanks Living"God's will in Christ Jesus for you"
