A resource is something of value • Capital resources vs. human resources • Natural Resources: • Materials in the natural environment that people value and use to satisfy their needs • Renewable Resources • Ex: soil, water, Sun • Nonrenewable Resources • Ex: fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas), iron, copper, gold, silver, uranium • Recycle Natural Resources

  4. Mostly we use NONrenewable resources!!! • Oil – most likely to run out in the next 100 years • Coal – can last up to 200 years Energy Resources
