  4. When rain lands on roads, parking lots, driveways, and other hard surfaces, it flows into a storm drain and travels through underground pipes directly to local surface waters.
  5. Mecklenburg County Surface Waters Over 3,000 miles of streams 81% of watersheds contain streams that are impaired. Storm Water Services receives over 300 reports a year of possible pollution problems. Staff from Storm Water Services – Water Quality Program respond to all reports. More eyes in the field help stop pollution and improve stream health.

  8. Download free app to report pollution Search ‘Water Watchers’ for App or Droid Make sure locating services are turned on for app Allows user to attach picture Can put in contact info to receive updates from staff on findings of report

  10. By February 6, 2014, notify County of your preferred option for providing IDDE training to your employees. Beginning July 1, 2014, begin implementation of training & document. Complete training by June 30, 2016. July 31st of every year, provide documentation of completed training to County.
