  19. Station 3 - Color Contrast Analyzer Objective: Install a free Colour Contrast Analyzer by The Paciello Group and use the dropper tool to get a color contrast ratio.   20. Color Contrast Ratio WCAG 2.1 level AA requires a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Level AAA requires a contrast ratio of at least 7:1 for normal text and 4.5:1 for large text. Large text is defined as 14 point (typically 18.66px) and bold or larger, or 18 point (typically 24px) or larger.

  35. Things to Keep in Mind • Accessibility can add up to 40% more time to eLearning development. • Learning Modules should be 5 to 7 minutes long. • When using complex images such a charts or graphs, a long description is needed in addition to a short alt text.

  36. Also Keep in Mind • Test questions must be found in all mediums used in the course: audio, video, text version. • Watch for acronyms, abbreviations, and shortened words. • Be mindful of how people may comprehend similes, metaphors, slang or jargon, and idioms.
