  6. Metric Prefixes • Kilo- (as in kilometer or kilogram) • Hecto- • Deka- • Deci- • Centi- (as in centimeter) • Milli- (as in millimeter)

  7. What do they mean??? • Kilo- 1000 • Hecto- 100 • Deka- 10 • Deci- 1/10 • Centi- 1/100 • Milli- 1/1000 • Sooo… A centimeter is what fraction of a meter?
