  2. Summary Artisans and their art were important to ancient Egyptians. Their was many kinds of art. All art had purpose and all art had to do with their beliefs.

Captions • Artists in Egypt were called craftsmen • Most of the art from ancient Egypt now exists in temples and tombs • They created enormous monuments to their gods, kings and queens • They had very strict guidelines in painting depicting people • Their paintings and drawings usually told a story

  4. Types of Art • Egyptians had Tomb art • Egyptians had Sculptured monuments • Egyptians had Tomb statues • Egyptians had Temple sculpture • Egyptians painted people • Also they had Registers (pictures that tell a story)
