Custom Fields • Purpose: • Additional description for issues • Can be used as navigator columns • Support filtering • Types • String (exact or fulltext indexed) • Integer • List (set of value-description pairs) • Custom fields are defined globally, then assigned to individual issues on the “Custom Fields” tab • Once defined, custom fields are required in import

Issue Import / Export • Pre-7.0.5: • IssueImporter batch script only • 7.0.5+: • Issue Importer/Exporter batch script (slight change in command line arguments) • IssueImporter and IssueReader DQC steps • Web interface for issue upload • Support for filtering in issue exporter (batch and step) • Status, assignee, system, entity • New importer pseudo-columns: • issue_assignee – if present, overrides the default assignee. Applies only to new issues • issue_comment –specific comment will be added to the issue if it is updated (created, reopened) by the importer. • Default resolution for Manual Merge issue • via issue_record_resolution pseudo-column (values 0-4 as in export file)

Improved Administration in the Web App • App monitoring • System Information • Background operations • Issue import • Maintenance tasks • Rebuild index – synchronize Lucene with DB if metadata change or if the index is not in sync • Delete obsolete issues – deletes inactive issues • Integrity checks • For future use • Detects problems in DQIT data / metadata / config • Restart • re-read metadata from disk

Upgrading from Previous Versions • Database structure • New table: dqit_issue_attach • Config.xml • Database persistence does no longer use dialect, driver, url and other connection parameters. • Metadata: use “Upgrade template” functionality • Be sure that app server is not running • After starting the application, rebuild the indexes • IssueImporter batch script • The first parameter is DQIT application URL, not config.xml

  8. Future Development (7.x.x and 8.x.x version) • User-customized L&F • Favorite pages • Home screen selection • Integrity checks • Drag issue type in GUI to a plan file • Creates Importer / Reader • Accessibility features (a.k.a. 508 compliance)
