Yellowstone National Park sits directly on top of the Supervolcano. • Yellowstone’s Supervolcano would be one of the most destructive volcanoes if it were to erupt. • Its Latitude is 44.43 degrees north. Its Longitude is 110.67 degrees west. • The caldera, which is located right above the magma chamber, is about 9,203 feet tall and is 53 miles long and 28 miles wide.

The supervolcano’s chamber is about 40 miles wide. • Yellowstone’s supervolcano is still active. • All of the geysers, hot springs, and steam vents in Yellowstone National Park are powered by the heat of the supervolcano. • The supervolcano’s plate tectonics is Intraplate. • It has been about 640,000 years since the last eruption. • The eruption that took place in Yellowstone 640,000 years ago was 1,000 times stronger than the eruption of Mount St. Helens.
