Is America the greatest country in the world? Be sure to support your answer. • Share your answer with your neighbor and together brainstorm a list of issues facing America right now. • Write one issue on the board – do not repeat what another student already wrote. • Use this group list to add to your own list in your Composition Notebook

Upcoming Assignment… • Write a call to action/persuasive email to Greg Abbott or Wendy Davis about a thoroughly researched topic relevant to the economic and political situation in Texas. • Tonight: • You will be looking for a topic. You will not take a position on your topic or choose your politician until you have made yourself an expert on your topic.
