  5. 照顧者的準備 • 照顧者不要過份保護智障子女，減少他們的學習機會。 • 盡早教導智障子女自我照顧技巧。 • 如照顧者有病，應與智障子女分享，在過程中讓智障子女參與，讓他們了解情況，過程中，與專業人士一起工作，當照顧者離世後，智障子女較容易適應。
