Choosing day Importance Why I chose • Displays Will’s curiosityin his urge to find out what Ranger Halt has written about him. • the author revealed his skills of stealth and climbing. • the Author demonstrates his honesty and courage- which convinces Halt to take on Will as his apprentice. • when I first connected to Will’s character. • Will’s talents of climbing. • Honesty and his willingness to admit his guilt to the Baron • His conflicts and struggles caused me to sympathise and connect with him.

Boar hunt Importance Why I chose • Here the author tells us that Horace and Will are both courageous and noble • and Will has improved with his skills of archery and evasion. • Horace and Will grow a tight bond. • I choose this because it is the test of his skills. • Because it is the first action and it is the test of his newfound skills. • Finally the two main characters become best of friends

Battle of the Kalkara Importance Why I chose • it proves his growing usefulness and reliability. • the author shows Will’s bravery and ability to think on his feet by creating and shooting a make-shift fire arrow at the last Kalkara. • Even more so it has significance as the climax of the novel • uncovers Will’s evolution as a character from beginning to end. • I choose this event because it was a point where the evolution of Will’s character was comparable from beginning to end. The scene that Will went through made me admire his spirit for even though he was under terrifying circumstances he acted heroically when most people wouldn’t.).
