  2. The Sort • Form topical piles with your cards. • What topics do you have the most information on? • Remove all others from your desk.

  3. Preliminary Outline • Select two of these three aspects of your poet to analyze: • one aspect of his life, • his poetry's content (choose 1-3 poems), • or his poetic style (choose 1-3 poems).

  6. Your Voice • If possible, include your attitude toward your poet’s life, content, or style. • In these examples the attitude words are “troubling”, “tormented” and “eloquent”. • These words emphasize your opinion about your poet.

  7. For those who are ahead… • Sentence outline format: • Expand points I and II to A, B, and C. • Parallel sentence structure • Double-space entire outline • More to come Monday!
