  2. Euler was born in Basel (Switzerland). He was the son of Paul Euler, a Calvinist minister. What is this kid talking about? 1, 2, 3, …, 4x5 = 20, the number e

  3. By that time, Euler –according to his father’s will- was devoted to the study of Theology. I’ve told you a hundred times to behave as your father!

  4. Grand Prize of the Paris Academy : Eulerwas later on awarded that same prize twelve times. I guess I’ll be awarded the first prize in the future 1st Contest 2nd Prize Leonhard Euler Academy of Sciences Paris, 2nd April 1927

  5. He arrives in St. Petersburg on 17th May 1727. Heidi Martin Margarita Where shall I go, Saint Petersburgor Foligno? Miau, Miau

  6. Euler even served as a medical lieutenant in the Russian navy as an extra job from 1727 to 1730. When is lunch time? 11 o’clock on the dot.

  7. Euler married Katharina Gsell on 7th January 1734. 7 th of January, 1734 JUST MARRIED

  8. Political turmoil in Russia, contributed to Euler moving from St. Petersburg on 19 June 1741. Will the lakes be frozen? Kiuruvesi

  9. Euler's health problems began in 1735 when he had a severe fever and almost lost his life. At least, I’ve got one eye left.

  10. Euler was distinguished by the Paris Academy. His proposition was about the calculation of planetary orbits and the motion of the moon. We could ask him for a statistic analysis of the shopping basket.

  11. The sight of his ill eye worsened during his stay in Germany to such an extent that Frederick used to call him Cyclops. How are you, Mr. Cyclops? Fine, “Freddy”

  12. In 1771 his home was destroyed by fire and he -with the help of Peter Grimm- was able save his life. I’ve told you a hundred times not to shout "Lyö löylyä!" in the Sauna Now, let’s go to the lake.

  13. Euler spent his last 17 years totally blind. Hopefully, when I get retired my salary will be good enough to afford a short trip to Foligno or Strasburg. Wow, wow

  14. He was, however, able to continue with his work despite his total blindness. I shall write a letter to my friends from Italy, France, Finland and Spain to ask about the Ne.M.O. project.

  15. He was a home-loving man and very fond of kids. I’m thinking about joining the Ne.M.O. project.

  16. Euler died on 18th September 1783. R.I.P Leonhard Euler 1707-1783

  17. Euler’s relevant achievements: • He defined the mathematical constant known as number e • He used the exponential function and logarithms in analytical demonstrations. For any real number φ, Euler´s formula states:
