  2. Executive Summary This presentation provides an analysis and evaluation of the autonomous vehicle industry in 2025, given that the government has mandated vehicles must be at least semi-autonomous to ensure passenger safety. Here we have also highlighted how Cisco can utilize its current product portfolio and expand its future product offering either via organic and inorganic growth strategies to better position itself. We have used secondary research and compiled data from various sources to come up with a robust analysis of industry trends to help Cisco offer innovative solutions in this changing industry. We have found that three particular segments which are Cybersecurity, Connected Roadways/ Smart Infrastructure and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems have the most growth potential and align well with Cisco's current and future capabilities. We recommend that Cisco leverage its existing product offering and possibly look at the acquisition of small start-ups and partnering with established firms to accelerate their presence in the autonomous vehicle market.

  5. Cybersecurity As the new mobility system for autonomous transportation become more complex, the cybersecurity market needs to keep up rapidly. The increase in the amount of ECU’s and the level of connectivity provides new opportunities for malicious software. Clear guidelines set for all suppliers in the cybersecurity market. Software and hardware built and regularly updated with security in mind. Firewall implemented to protect vehicle’s critical ECU’s. 2025 2019 KEY TECHNOLOGIES KEY APPLICATIONS COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE Detect, manage, mitigate and respond to cyberattacks on connected vehicles High maturity Vehicle to everything (V2X) network protection Real-time Risk monitoring and threat inspection Address privacy concerns with End-to-end protection for data breaches ECU and Hardware Security Module (HSM) Protection Timely cut off V2X connectivity in case of cybersecurity breach. Low maturity Firewall Protection

  6. Connected Roadways/ Smart Infrastructure Strong interest from government authorities and technology players to develop and implement connected roadways and connected vehicles solutions to address the growing road accidents A well-established connected roadways ecosystem across the US with vehicles effectively communicating with other vehicles and road infrastructure 2025 2019 KEY TECHNOLOGIES KEY APPLICATIONS COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE Established Vehicle to everything (V2X) Connectivity Alerts on weather condition, traffic, lane closures, and work zones Real-time Data Capturing Automated traffic management and signal programming Predictive Analytics Real-time and automated emergency responses, such as air bag deployment High-Speed Wireless Communication Emerging

  7. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Rising need for safer driving conditions and increased demand for comfort while driving fosters the current advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) market which is currently estimated at $48B Regulatory and consumer interest in safety applications that protect drivers and reduce accidents will fuel the future ADAS market which is projected to be $156B by 2025 2025 2019 KEY TECHNOLOGIES KEY APPLICATIONS COMPETITIVE LANDSCAPE Drowsiness monitor system Blind spot object detection system Lane departure warning system Road Sign Recognition Forward Collision Warning Established Automotive Cloud Artificial Intelligence Predictive Analytics High-Speed Wireless Communication Emerging
