  3. Purpose and Objectives • To prepare your school district for any event that may interrupt essential services for staff and students • To better understand your Continuity of Operations and Disaster Recovery Plans

ACOOPArkansas Continuity of Operations Plan • Required by Legislative Audit • Must be tested twice a year • Updated Annually • Most plans are 350-1000 pages • Plans: 40 Detailed Component Requirements • Employee Information and Skills • Vendors and Vendor Contact Information • Maps and Evac Routes • Media Statements • etc

  5. Crisis Management Plans • Each Campus has a Crisis Management Plan for their School • Each Campus Develops this plan on a guideline • What to do “In the event of”…… • Also a component of ACOOP

  6. What Can Support Services Do?? • Provide Admin with an Updated Primary Vendor Supply List with contact information: Who? Number? Email? • Create a Start Up List for Supplies and Equipment : What would be needed in a certain time frame? 1 Day, 5 days, two weeks, one month? • Maintain good inventory of equipment and tools • Insure ALL staff in maintenance and custodial are adequately trained

  7. Additional Information • Determine WHO will be on the recovery team for the district • Who will enter buildings to recover usable equipment and supplies---should be trained in proper safety measures

  8. Know Your Campus? Share Your Information • Ask the district admin or EAST lab to provide you with a campus plan • Identify all major utility lines • Identify shut-off locations • Your knowledge is vast, but you may be out of district when a disaster hits.
