  5. Early Childhood Philosophy of JPS The early childhood programs at JPS are child-oriented, family-focused programs that foster the growth of the whole child. The programs provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum that enhances cognitive, speech/language, social/emotional and motor skill development. We recognize that children learn through play and discovery and we strive to create structured play opportunities which provide an environment that stimulates social growth, skill development, and motor coordination. We believe that each child is unique and individual differences should be accepted and respected. We foster inclusion of children with disabilities with typical developing peers. We believe all children can reach their full potential in a secure environment that promotes self esteem and respect for others.
