The Title is Short and Descriptive Your Name, University Name, LLNL Division, Mentor’s Name, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Abstracts are a brief synopsis (1-2 paragraphs) of the entire work described in the poster. Abstracts should be understandable without reading the entire poster. Do not include details of the methods. The abstract should contain the following elements: Introduction: Methods: – Present the question being explored by your research – Place your research in the context of current knowledge about the topic – Start with the general context and work down to the specifics – End with a precise statement of the question or hypothesis being addressed by your research study Describe the procedures you performed. Describe your methods in sufficient detail to allow a reader in your field to understand what you did to collect your data. Report the results of any statistical tests (to date). Present all of your results, positive or negative. Tables and /or figures may substitute for written summary. If appropriate, mention any alternative explanations for your results and unexpected results.
