  3. Congenital Heart Diseases (CHD) Congenital heart diseases (CHD) refer to structural or functional heart diseases, which are present at birth. Some of these lesions may be discovered later. The reported incidence of CHD is 8-10/1000 live births according to various series from different parts of the world. It is believed that this incidence has not changed much over the years. Did you know? • One of the most common birth defects in developing countries is the heart ailment • Congenital Heart disease is on the RISE in developing countries and in particular India. • Treatment calls for a Surgery!!!! • A routine procedure in Developed countries, but in developing countries it may turn to be a death sentence.

  7. Save a Heart? • Rotary Bangalore Yelahanka wants to support this and hence the project Save a Heart • We could find a philanthropist in everybody and the project evolution started…..
