  2. Scripture Reading: Matthew 13:1-9 KJB • Mat 13:1  The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. • Mat 13:2  And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. • Mat 13:3  And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

  3. Scripture Reading: Matthew 13:1-9 KJB • Mat 13:4  And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: • Mat 13:5  Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: • Mat 13:6  And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

  4. Scripture Reading: Matthew 13:1-9 KJB • Mat 13:7  And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: • Mat 13:8  But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. • Mat 13:9  Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

  5. Question: • What did we read that a “sower” did?

  6. A sower went forth to sow… • Mat 13:3  And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

  7. Question: • What are the scriptures speaking about?

  8. The Everlasting Gospel: That sweet Mystery of Godliness, and The Kingdom of Heaven thereof: • Mat 13:10  And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto themin parables? • Mat 13:11  He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. • Mat 13:24  Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

  9. Question: • Do you desire to hear, and to see today, what many in the world have not heard, and have not seen, in this parable?

  10. “Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. ” – Mat. 13:9 KJB • Mat 13:17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

  11. Question: • Who is the Sower?

  12. The Sower is the Son of Man, even Jesus Christ. • Mat 13:37  He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seedis the Son of man; • Mat 16:13  When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

  13. Question: • What is the Field?

  14. The Field is the world, even also the realm of the Church. • Mat 13:38  The field isthe world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; • Ecc 5:9  Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king himself is served by the field.

  15. Question: • What is the Purpose of the sowing?

  16. The Purpose of the sowing is to Reap a Harvest! • Mat 13:30  Let both grow together untilthe harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

  17. Question: • What is the seed?

  18. The seed is the small kernel of Faith of the Son of God! • Mat 13:31  Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like toa grain of mustardseed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: • Mat 17:20  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. • Luk 17:6  And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. • Gal 2:16  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

  19. The seed is the Son of God Himself planted in the Heart! • Gal 3:16  Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. • Gal 3:29  And if ye beChrist's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. • Gen 3:15  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

  20. Question: • When is the Harvest?

  21. The When (timing) of the Harvest is the End of the World! • Mat 13:39  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest isthe end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

  22. Question: • What is Harvested?

  23. The Purpose of the sowing is to Reap a Harvest! • Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. • Mat 13:38  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; • Mat 13:41  The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; • Mat 13:43  Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

  24. Question: • So, the parable is only about the Harvest at the end of the world?

  25. This parable includes not merely the end of the world, but even that which had been kept secret/hidden from the foundation of it: • Mat 13:34  All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parablespake he not unto them: • Mat 13:35  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet (Asaph, Psa.78:2 KJB), saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

  26. Question: • Does anyone remember the rule of law for sowing and reaping, working and resting?

  27. Therefore, there was a cycle of 6 sowing, a reaping, and the 7th was to be the Sabbath of rest. • Exo 23:10  And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof: • Exo23:11  Butthe seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard. • Exo23:12  Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

  28. Therefore, there was a cycle of 6 sowing, a reaping, and the 7th was to be the Sabbath of rest. • Lev 25:3  Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof; • Lev 25:4  Butin the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shaltneither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

  29. Therefore, there was a cycle of 6 working, and the 7th was to be the Sabbath of rest. • Exo 20:8  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. • Exo20:9  Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: • Exo20:10  Butthe seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: • Exo 20:11  Forin six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

  30. Question: • The Everlasting Gospel (Rev. 14:6-12 KJB). • What is it?

  31. The Everlasting Gospel: • 1Ti 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. • Rom 16:25  Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, • Eph 6:19  And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

  32. The Everlasting Gospel: • Rom 1:8  First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. • Rom 1:9  For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; • Rev 10:7  But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

  33. The Everlasting Gospel: • Col 1:26  Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:  • Col 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory ofthis mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: • Col 1:28  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

  34. The Everlasting Gospel: • Luk 4:14  And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. • Luk4:15  And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. • Luk4:16  And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
