  2. Where and When • Setting- Lexington and Concord • Date- April 19, 1775

  3. Who was involved? • British Troops • Militia of Massachusetts

  4. What Happened? • It was the first battle of the war. “The shot heard ‘round the world” • The colonists had advantages over the British Troops, As well as the British had advantages also. The colonists moved all the ammo somewhere else and were hiding in ditches and trees, but the British had a commander to tell them how and when to fire at the colonists.

  5. How and Why did it happen? • Why- Because British soldiers were sent to seize militia arms and ammunition at Concord. • How- British soldiers marched into a colonists town, one shot was fired, and then the British soldiers and colonists started to fire at each other.
