  10. Budget Note: The Minnesota Ice Hawks need a lot more money than the $10,000 grant could allow. Other funding sources include fund raising through players, merchandise sales, donations and Rochester and surrounding areas’ businesses.

  11. Funding Source • The Mighty Ducks Ice Facilities Fund. • This group focuses on the rehabilitation and renovation of existing hockey arenas in the state of Minnesota that need help funding. • Sponsored by Rep. 12. Evaluation:Process Evaluation • 1. Do the players feel safer when playing at the Rec Center since improvements? • 2. Do the fans that come to the arena feel safer since improvements? • 3. Are fans more comfortable at events? • All data will be complied from MN Ice Hawk volunteer workers. Data will be collected throughout the seasons to ensure that the best interest of fans and players are being maintained in the future.

  13. Evaluation:Impact Evaluation • The MN Ice Hawks need to keep record of injuries that occur at the arena during the season. Compiling the information pre and post improvements will be evidence to see if the numbers have decreased. • Ice Hawk personnel will be in charge of compiling such data • Information should be compiled as early as the following season since records need to be kept.
