Commoner! • Imhotepwas a commoner at birth • Through his dedication, he quickly rose through the Egyptian social ranks • He served King Djoser as his vizier (right-hand man) • High Priest of Ptah. • (Ptah is the Egyptian god that created the universe)

  4. Imhotep, what was he remembered for? • Imhotepwas most remembered by archaeologists for his building the “Step Pyramid at Saqqara” • But for the “common Joe off the street” he is probably remembered as being in the movie “The Mummy”.
